Aurelie Harou, a Belgian-American citizen, is a PhD candidate in Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.  Aurelie holds a BSc from the University of Sussex at Brighton where she conducted research on rainfall patterns off the eastern coast of Africa for her dissertation.  Aurelie holds a MS in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics from the University of California at Davis.  Prior to studying at Cornell, Aurelie spent 9 months working as a humanitarian aid worker on a food security project in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
