Veronica Palladino is a sophomore at Cornell majoring in International Agriculture and Rural Development, currently with a socioeconomic concentration. She is presently working with Chris Barrett doing a mix of office work, supportive research, and assisting in the review of his and Jeff Cason's book Overseas Research: A Practical Guide. Veronica is also doing demographic research this semester with Max Pfeffer with the goal of linking Puerto Rican immigrants in the U.S. with Pathstone, a community development and human service organization. She spent the year prior to coming to Cornell abroad, living with a host family in Argentina for two months, working in Nicaragua with one of Chris' students, Hope Michelson, for a month, and volunteering at a social-justice based mission in Guatemala for six months. Veronica was born in Ithaca and raised nearby in Lansing and loves reading, singing, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.
