RLBR Program Description

This year's format revolves around a series of  panel discussions, supplemented by a few seminars by visitors.

The objectives of these discussions are:

(i) to draw out the contested analytical and empirical terrain on topics of practical importance in rural areas of the world and of significant interest to multiple disciplines in the social and biological sciences

(ii) to demonstrate to students that stark differences of opinion on tough issues can be argued respectfully, in a civil discourse
