Admission Procedure top

Deadline:
Fall 2009: Friday, November 13

1. Download the application form for admission to the minor in business for engineering students or obtain the form from Arla Hourigan in 146 Warren Hall or the Engineering Advising Office in 167 Olin Hall.

2. Complete the form and return it to 146 Warren. Please keep a copy for your reference. Note that to receive any consideration or priority in a course offered by the Department of Applied Economics and Management, you must be admitted to the minor.  Admission to the minor, however, does not guarantee that you will be able to take a given AEM course in a given semester.

3. Plan a course of study to complete the minor requirements. Keeping track of the required courses is the student's responsibility; students will not be assigned an advisor. Only courses listed in the minor requirements will be accepted. (An exception may be made for transfer students from another university.) Students must earn a grade of C- or better in each required course.

4. Before February 1 senior year, complete an Application to Certify Completion of a Minor, which may be obtained in the Advising Office in 167 Olin Hall. Take the application and an official transcript to 146 Warren Hall for verification that all required courses have been satisfactorily completed or are in the process of being completed. Upon review of a satisfactory transcript, the undergraduate program coordinator or advising coordinator will verify on the application that the requirements for a minor in business for engineering students have been completed.

5. Take the approved Application to Certify Completion of a Minor to the Engineering College Registrar in 158 Olin Hall.

6. Questions should be addressed to Arla Hourigan, undergraduate program coordinator (146 Warren Hall); Dale Grossman, AEM undergraduate advising coordinator; or Duncan Bell, registrar, College of Engineering.
